Grimsby Business Ambassador Program (GBAP)

The Grimsby Business Ambassador Program (GBAP) is a new initiative introduced by the Town of Grimsby’s Economic Development Advisory Committee. This volunteer program seeks to enhance our local economy by harnessing the expertise and networks of community leaders and business professionals in Grimsby.

Acting as liaisons between the Town and potential investors, these essential individuals will work to improve the business environment, support local enterprises, enhance visitor experiences, and represent Grimsby at key events.

Business Ambassadors will prioritize attracting investments, retaining businesses, and fostering innovation within Grimsby. This initiative aligns with the Town’s objectives of creating job opportunities, expanding the commercial tax base, and promoting sustainable growth.

The program is set to launch in early 2025, with up to 10 ambassadors serving four-year terms. These ambassadors will convene semi-annually or as needed and engage in outreach activities to position Grimsby as a desirable business destination. They will also collaborate with Town Staff and the Grimsby Economic Advisory Committee to develop strategies for attracting and retaining local businesses.
