2022 Projects

The 2022 Sanitary and Storm Sewer Flushing and Inspection project has been awarded to Braywood Services Inc. and will begin June 27th and continue all through the year ending December 23rd and taking place at various locations throughout the Town. The purpose of this project is twofold: first to carry out maintenance by flushing the sewers clear of debris and removing obstructions to prepare for inspection. Secondly to carry out pipeline, service lateral and manhole inspections to determine the structural and operational condition of the assets, in support of capital and maintenance planning and service delivery.

As part of this project, the contractor will also be completing sanitary service lateral and manhole inspections in 3 different study areas to support an Inflow and Infiltration Investigation, as shown on the map below.

Map of Project Areas

Residents will notice contractor vehicles in these areas for an extended period of time while they complete the asset inspections. In total the Town will be cleaning and inspecting 52,000m of sewer main, 229 manholes and 1,111 service laterals. The contractor will ensure 1 lane of traffic remains open at all times and driveway access will not be impeded.
