Thank you to the NPCA and volunteers for making the planting a success. The plantings were funded through the NPCA Restoration Grant Program.

The Grimsby Green Advisory Committee
Legacy Seedling Program
- The program aims to invest in tree planting and stewardship on private land to help enhance and expand Grimsby's urban forest, and to improve the health of the local environment
- This program will create a stewardship opportunity to assist with the protection and preservation of Grimsby's ecosystem
- The committee will be at the May 26th, 2022 Farmers Market to handout seedlings to interested residents
- Using an interactive mapping system we plan to monitor all residential tree plantings to track our progress!

The Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup initiative is an effort that has grown from a District 7090 service project covering a small portion of Lake Ontario and Erie to a multi-district plan to focus Rotarians’ and citizens' attention to all 5 of the Great Lakes and streams and waterways feeding them.
