Water Payment Options

You can pay your water bill at Town Hall on 160 Livingston Ave. We accept cash, debit, cheques, bank drafts, or money orders. We do not accept credit card payments at Town Hall. To make a credit card payment, please see the credit card option.

8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday excluding holidays.

Cheques

Make your cheque payable to the Town of Grimsby. Please write your water account number on the front of the cheque and include the water stub. Cheques may be post-dated to the due date. No cash payments please.

Receipts

We do not mail out receipts; your cheque is considered your receipt for payment.

There is an after-hours drop box located at the front entrance of Town Hall.

Cheques

We accept post-dated cheques corresponding with the amounts and due dates printed on your water stubs. Please include your stubs with the cheques.

Post-dated cheques can be mailed, dropped off in person, or deposited in the after-hours drop box.

Payments may be paid at any branch or ATM of all major banks or other financial institutions.

Telephone or online banking

Payments may also be made by telephone or online banking. You will need your 13 digit water account number from your water bill to setup electronic banking.

Payments made through your financial institution may take up to 3-5 days to reach us which may result in payments not being received until after the due date. In such cases, late penalties will apply.

Paymentus, a third party payment service provider, allows you to use your Visa or MasterCard to make payments more conveniently through their secure online system.

Make sure that have the following ready:

• 13 digit water account number located on your bill
• credit card
• amount owing on your bill

Service fee

A service fee of 2.50% of the amount paid is levied by Paymentus for each transaction. Please note, the Town of Grimsby does not receive any part of the service fee.
