2022 Interim Tax Billing – Second Installment Due May 6, 2022
The Town of Grimsby has mailed the second 2022 Interim Tax Bills to all tax payers who are included on the Assessment Roll. The Assessment Roll is a public document that can be viewed at Town Hall during regular business hours.
If you have not received your tax bill, please contact the tax office at 905-945-9634. Failure to receive a bill does not excuse the payment of taxes.
Tax payers have the following payment options available to them:
- Payments can be made at most financial institutions or by telephone and internet banking. Payments made through your financial institution can take up to 3-5 days to reach us, which may result in payments not being received until after the due date.
- Installments can also be paid by postdated cheques provided the taxes are paid by the regular due dates.
- A nightly depository is available at the front entrance of Town Hall for cheque payments only. Anything received after 4:30pm will be processed and considered received on the following business day.
- No credit card payments are accepted at Town Hall. Please visit the Town website for further details on credit card payments.
Please ensure that your payment reaches us on or before the due date. The taxpayer is responsible for the late arrival of payment. Penalties of 1.25% are added on the fourth business day of default and on the first day of each month following. Penalties cannot be waived.
