Council Celebrates Pride Month at Town Hall

Today marks the beginning of Pride Month, which celebrates the LGBTQ2+ community.

Throughout the month of June, communities around the world celebrate Pride Month in order to spread the message that no matter who you love or how you identify, you should feel safe, valued, equal and proud of who you are.

It is an honour for myself and Council to raise the Pride flag here at Town Hall to show that love is love, no matter who you are.

We hope that everyone enjoys the Pride 2022 celebrations and, through their words and actions, continue to create a society where everyone is free to be themselves.
