The Town of Grimsby officially launches Transportation Master Plan

The Town of Grimsby’s Transportation Master Plan (TMP) is officially underway. The TMP will strategically guide the planning, design and implementation of transportation infrastructure, maintenance, operations, policies, and programming, over the next 20+ years.

The objective of a TMP is to create a plan to meet the needs of the Town for the short, medium, and long term. The TMP will:

·       Promote a flourishing urban environment.

·       Develop and promote transportation.

·       Enhance active transportation.

·       Facilitate connections between growth areas, neighbouring municipalities, and critical        transportation corridors.

A live, interactive map can be found on Let’s Talk Grimsby. Residents can use this map to let us know about their experiences with the existing transportation network and can help us identify future opportunities for improvements for various modes of travel through the Transportation Master Plan.

We want to hear from residents on how the Town can best achieve its transportation, mobility, and other goals.
