Town of Grimsby Announces Successful Fundraising from the 2024 Mayor’s Masters Tournament

The Town of Grimsby is thrilled to announce the successful fundraising efforts from its recent 2024 Mayor’s Masters Tournament. The charity golf tournament, held on August 28, 2024, at Twenty Valley Golf & Country Club, brought together community members, sponsors, and local businesses to raise funds for the community.

The 2024 Mayor’s Masters Tournament proved to be a resounding success, with a total of $22,080.07 raised. Of that total, $16,560.05 was donated to the United Way Niagara, and $5,520.02 in support of the Community Services Department. The generous contributions from participants and sponsors will enable both organizations to continue their vital work, making a positive impact in our community. Community Services will utilize the funds to support families who need fee assistance to participate in the Town’s leisure programs.

United Way Niagara exists in our community to strengthen the social safety net and build capacity to support the most vulnerable. They play a vital role in addressing the interconnected issues of poverty, homelessness, food insecurity, isolation, mental health, and addiction. Last year, their investments helped 55 local programs and 4,309 residents in Grimsby alone.

The event witnessed the participation of more than 110 golfers, who showcased their skills and enthusiasm while enjoying a day of friendly competition. Participants had the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals, fostering new connections and strengthening community bonds.

The success of the 2024 Mayor’s Masters Tournament would not have been possible without the support of our esteemed sponsors. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Aird & Berlis LLP, and all other sponsors who generously contributed their resources and expertise to make this event a triumph.

The Town of Grimsby remains committed to making a positive difference in the lives of individuals in our community. The funds raised from the 2024 Mayor’s Masters Tournament will be maximized for the benefit of those in need.
