    Truth and Reconciliation Day, also known as Orange Shirt Day, is a federal holiday commemorated on September 30th to honour the painful and lasting impacts of residential schools in Canada.

  • The Town of Grimsby Appoints a New Director of Planning and Building

    Town Council and Chief Administrative Officer, Sarah Kim, are pleased to announce that Harold Madi has accepted the position of Director of Planning and Building at the Town of Grimsby. The Town is excited to find a candidate who will not only meet the many demands of the Director of Planning and Building position, but will also be a key resource to our community, council, and staff. Harold will begin his tenure with the Town on September 5, 2023.

    London, ON – The 2023 Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) conference was held in London, Ontario from August 20-23, 2023. The AMO conference is a yearly event which brings municipalities together to discuss best practices and share industry knowledge, while also allowing municipal representatives and ministries to meet to discuss the municipalities’ strategic priorities, to advocate for local issues, and to discuss program and funding partnerships.

    In partnership between the Grimsby Public Library and LinkedIn Learning, anyone who lives, goes to school, and/or works in the Town of Grimsby will now have unlimited access to thousands of courses through LinkedIn Learning.

  • The Town of Grimsby Appoints a New Director of Finance/Treasurer

    Town Council and Chief Administrative Officer, Sarah Kim, are pleased to announce that Stephanie Nagel has accepted the position of Director of Finance/Treasurer at the Town of Grimsby. The Town is excited to find a candidate who will not only meet the many demands of the Director of Finance/Treasurer position, but will also bring great experience and leadership to the role. Stephanie will begin her tenure with the Town on September 11, 2023.

  • Temporary Road Closure - Main Street East

    Main Street East, from east of Vanderburgh Lane to approximately 60 meters east of Dorchester Estates, will be closed to traffic on Monday August 28 to Friday September 1, 2023. This road closure is required to install watermain and sanitary sewer for the 240, 244-248 Main Street E Subdivision.
