  • Statement by Mayor Jordan on Russia’s Invasion on Ukraine

    Grimsby’s Mayor Jeff Jordan issued the following statement condemning Russia’s attack on the Ukraine:

    “I, along with Council and members of the Grimsby community, stand with the people of Ukraine, their families and our Ukrainian-Canadian community in unequivocally condemning the senseless attack by Russia.

  • Mayor Jeff Jordan commences 2022-2026 Term of Council with Inaugural Address

    On Monday November 21st, Mayor Jeff Jordan welcomed Grimsby residents and their newly elected councillors to Town Hall to mark the beginning of the 2022-2026 Council Term. The meeting opened with a Smudging Ceremony led by Jackie Labonta, a traditional knowledge keeper and local member of the Haudenosaunee. Following the Elected Oath of Office and a performance from Gordon Scott of the Grimsby Pipe Band, Mayor Jordan remarked that the 2022-2026 Council is ready to “work together, get down to business, and take on important issues in the community”.

  • Grimsby Town Council Unanimously Approves 2022 Budget

    At the Council meeting of February 22, 2022, Town Council approved the 2022 Budget, which goes beyond pandemic recovery to build today for a better Grimsby tomorrow.

  • Grimsby's Small Town Team Delivers Big Results in 2021

    While COVID-19 continued to present the Grimsby community with unprecedented challenges in 2021, Council and staff once again demonstrated that the Town is an agile, high performing organization capable of delivering excellent public service. Council and Town staff further advanced all twenty-two initiatives outlined in Council’s Strategic Priorities, provided community support throughout the pandemic and undertook various large scale projects.

    Wednesday's (January 19th) Grimsby Council Meeting will air on YourTV on Friday January 21st at 9am.

  • Winter Storm Update: January 17th 2pm
    Road crews continue to work on clearing streets, which will take the remainder of the day to complete. Clean up efforts will be continuing in to the evening and tomorrow. Drifting snow this evening could create some additional snow cover on roadways, particularly on the escarpment.
