  • Pre-authorized Monthly Property Tax Payments

    Town Staff have been made aware of an issue with pre-authorized monthly property tax payments. The withdrawn payments may have been different from the amount noted in the letter you received by mail in December 2023.

  • NEWS RELEASE: The Town of Grimsby Appoints a New Director of Legislative Services/Town Clerk

    Town Council and Chief Administrative Officer, Sarah Kim, are pleased to announce that after a comprehensive recruitment process, Victoria Steele has accepted the position of Director of Legislative Services/Town Clerk at the Town of Grimsby. The Town is excited to find a candidate who will not only meet the many demands of the comprehensive position, but will also be a key resource to our community, Council, and Staff.

  • Red Light Camera Program

    Niagara Region is starting a Red Light Camera program beginning late January.

  • Changes to Niagara Region’s Blue/Grey Box program

    Beginning January 1, 2024, Niagara Region’s residential Blue/Grey recycling program will no longer be managed by the Region and Grimsby’s collection contractor (known as Circular Materials Ontario) will take on responsibility for the program.

  • 2023 Facility Closures due to the Holidays

    The following schedule outlines reduced hours/closures of Town facilities:

  • New dog licensing program rolls out in the Town of Grimsby

    A simplified online experience paired with a complimentary lost pet service will add value to dog licences

  • Town of Grimsby’s response to the Province’s Greenbelt legislative changes

    Grimsby, ON (December 4, 2023) – In late 2022, the Province removed land from the Greenbelt as part of its broader push to build 1.5 million homes by 2031, including two parcels of land in Grimsby. Town Staff worked under stringent time restraints with the Provincial facilitator’s office and the potential developers, to discuss plans for these parcels.

  • Downtown Reimagined Notice of Public Meeting

    The Town of Grimsby will be hosting a public information meeting to gather input and feedback regarding the Town of Grimsby’s Downtown Reimagined study. This session is one of the final steps towards the development of a vision for the Downtown public realm.

  • Yard Waste Collection
    The Town of Grimsby is kindly reminding residents not to rake or deposit leaves and other tree fallings onto the roadway. Doing so can pose a serious safety concern to drivers and pedestrians, as well as leading to increased occurrences of plugged catch basins and drains.
  • Woolverton Access Road Closure

    Woolverton Access between Main St W and Ridge Rd W will be closed to traffic on Thursday, November 23, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for tree removal (or until completion).
